Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, has died

Born on the top of Elvis’s fame in 1968, Lisa Marie Presley grew up squarely within the highlight because the daughter of the person celebrated as “the King of rock ’n’ roll.” 

Elvis and Priscilla Presley separated in 1972 when their daughter was 4 years previous, and she or he was solely 9 when her father died in 1977. 

Quickly, she started appearing out and experimenting with medication, leading to her mom sending her to a collection of personal faculties, together with a boarding college in Ojai, California.

Presley later launched her profession in 2003 with a debut studio album, “To Whom It Could Concern,” which reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and was licensed gold that summer time. She wrote virtually all of the lyrics on the album and co-wrote each melody. 

Parallel her musical pursuits, Presley had been married 4 occasions: First to musician Danny Keough, then to singer Michael Jackson, Nicholas Cage after which Michael Lockwood. She had 4 kids: Riley Keough, Benjamin Keough, Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood.

In 2020, Presley’s son Benjamin Keough died by suicide on the age of 27. Final July, she marked the second anniversary of Keough’s dying on Instagram, sharing a photograph of their matching foot tattoos.

In September, Presley wrote an essay for Nationwide Grief Consciousness Day, by which she opened up in regards to the lack of her son.

“My and my three daughters’ lives as we knew it had been fully detonated and destroyed by his dying. We stay on this each. Single. Day,” she wrote. “Grief is one thing you’ll have to carry with you for the remainder of your life, regardless of what sure folks or our tradition needs us to imagine. You don’t ‘recover from it,’ you don’t ‘transfer on,’ interval.”
