In an interview with Dax Shepard, actor Bradley Cooper recounted how two years ago a man assaulted him at the point of a knife, but the reaction that the Hollywood star had was more typical of an action movie than real life.
Bradley Cooper fans have shared photographs of the actor traveling in the New York subway on many occasions and, every time they ask him why a Hollywood star like him does not use a car with a private chauffeur, he always answers that this form of Public transport is the most efficient method of getting around the city, not to mention that it is also the cheapest and most environmentally friendly.
However, a couple of years ago the famous actor got a scare that would have made anyone else never set foot on a wagon again. As he explained to his colleague Dax Shepard on his “Armchair Expert” podcast, one morning in 2019 they tried to assault him at razor point on one of the subway trains while on his way to his daughter’s school.
Bradley admits that it was partly his fault because he had become “too confident” and went everywhere listening to music with his headphones, so the first thing he thought when he saw a stranger approach was that he wanted to take a picture with him. “When I looked down, I saw a knife,” he added, to clarify that the thief seemed very young.
His reaction then was more typical of an action movie than real life: Bradley ran towards the exit, jumped the turnstiles, and hid to try to surprise his attacker. “He ran past me. I was able to take a picture of him. Then I chased him down the stairs. He fled down Seventh Avenue. I was able to take two more photos of him, ”he commented.
Bradley soon stopped a patrol that crossed the street to explain what had happened to him and share the images he had on his cell phone. To his surprise, the agents kept asking him if he was sure he had not been stabbed because, with the adrenaline rush of the moment, he could be injured and not realize it, although luckily he had escaped unharmed.
